Create an Easy and Elegant Fall Centerpiece

by

Want to welcome in the Fall season with a beautiful centerpiece that’s inexpensive and easy? I have the perfect idea for you.

Not only does this centerpiece cost very little, you’ll also get to play with paint.

I promise it’s both easy and fun!

Create an Easy and Elegant Fall Centerpiece

Here’s what you’ll need.

Choose Your Base Vessel

Came across the most interesting pedestal I have ever found on a thrifting trip. I don’t us it often because I’m afraid the kids will knock it over accidentally, but good grief I love it’s shape and neutral color.

Gather Your Fall Decor

After you’ve chosen your base vessel which will hold all your goodies, gather up your pretty Fall decor. Decide on your color palette before hand, or if you’re like me, make that decision as you go. Some things will pop out to you and you just build from there.

My color palette for this craft project ended up being was gray, burgundy, taupe and olive.

If you’re thought for a second purple and gold are my colors of choice, we still need to get to know each other better. although when I was little I did think these two were a perfect combination.

Adjust the Colors As Needed

The first thing I did was paint these high energy glitter pumpkins a calm gray and taupe. Yes, my girls thought I made them super boring and I did, but they also no longer hurt my eyes.

Place the Candle Sticks on the Pedestal

For some visual interest and texture, roll the twine up into balls. Place them between the candle sticks to help anchor them in place.  had enough for two but use as many as you like.

Fill In with Leaves and Berries

Start to fill in between and around the candlesticks with leaves and berries. Using leaves on a vine was helpful in making this an easy craft because the leaves are equally spread out and you just have to weave it around the pedestal.

Add Pumpkins and Candles

Last step add the pumpkins and candles. Look how my “boring” gray pumpkins just light up this Fall centerpiece! Maybe not so boring after all? The cream candles also brighten up the display nicely.

The best part about this centerpiece is lighting the candles. The cozy glow they bring to this Fall decor makes me happy.

Such a fun and relaxing craft project! Have you started your Fall decorating yet?

Have a wonderful week!
