It’s Saturday which means it’s time for Life As Art #27.

Living life artfully take intension. On Saturdays at Pure Happy Home I love to share great ideas from the design world, inspirational quotes, positive news and of course the best budget-friendly deals I’ve found during the week.

So glad you’re here!

This past week I was interviewed for a podcast. This was a first for me and I had to consider what my background would be for the interview. Since I’m a home blogger I decided I had to give it a good try. Problem was I just realized this the about an hour before the interview began. I picked out a pretty blue denim button up shirt and then pulled together the photo below. Neutral with a touch of the outdoors, aka green, defines my color palette.

I appreciate all kinds of colors and styles, but if I had to choose what to surround myself with it’s always neutrals. Dress me up in the occasional bright color though and I’m happy! Jeremy is especially happy when I’m in red. If you see me in it you can be certain he’s somewhere close at hand. I only wear red for my husband. Love will make you step out of your color palette comfort zone.

Stylish Design Ideas

I love a good behind the scenes of the beginning of a kitchen renovation and Marian’s does not disappoint.

If you’re in the market for fantastic looking lamps on a budget you’re in luck!

This is a good article on interior doors and alternatives to the traditional doors most of us have. Do you have at least one of these in your home?

This is the absolute cutest! You have to see it and I’m tickled it’s happening right here in my home state of Michigan.
