I’m sitting here looking out my bedroom window at the woods in back of our house. I see the encouraging fresh green that Spring brings beginning to spread across the foot of the woods. Thank God Spring is here!
It wasn’t a harsh Winter but it was a cold one and I’m ready to welcome milder weather. At the end of every Winter we can count on the season to change and every year I’m so glad for the transition. This got me thinking about why change is so hard to deal with in other areas of our life.
If you live long enough you will see change within your days. Simply having children makes this all too true. One day they’re helpless little babies and the next their running out the front door to play. Sometime it feels like change is never ending. Other times it feels as if change won’t come soon enough.
Whether we pull back against change or push to make change happen, change comes in it’s own time.
If you are dealing with the stress of things being different in your life trust that it won’t stay this way for too long. That’s the good and bad of it really. We can’t hold onto what makes us happy forever because it will change. We can however store those happy moment in our hearts, and make way in our days for new happiness to enter and it will. Everything changes.
It benefits us to be open to change. Trust the new and the different elements God will bring into our lives.
We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to God’s purpose. Romans 8:28
The woods are different each day in April. The picture out my window changes each morning. It calms me to be mindful of it’s beauty through every stage of bloom. This applies to life as well. There is a lesson in small and big change and that is to hold it, and take what we need from it for our life’s journey.

MORE LIFE IS ART
Sorry I haven’t been around. We are dealing with health issues with our pup Peanut. Right now, it seems I have time to take care of her and post. Not much time for visits. Our babies happen to be fury and we love them so much!
