Easy Floral Cake Pop Centerpiece

by

In a hurry and need a sweet treat that says I care?

Try this absolutely easy floral cake pop centerpiece and impress everyone, including yourself.

It would be great dessert centerpiece for Mother’s Day!

We threw a little party the other day. Although I had so much to do I really wanted to make something special for the occasion.

While I was picking up groceries for the event I was tempted to also pick up a premade cake, but it was so expensive.

Instead I decided to pick up some yummy looking cake donut holes, wood skewers and a few pink faux roses.

In my mind I envisioned combining faux greenery and super simple cake pops to make a edible centerpiece.

The Absolute Easiest Cake Pop Recipe

You don’t have to put in hours of your precious time to create something that’ll make people smile.

I made this cake pop centerpiece from donut holes and faux stems in under a 30 minutes.

Here’s what you’ll need.

Step 1 – Find a centerpiece container and fill it with floral foam.

The bigger the container, the bigger your cake pop centerpiece.

Make sure that you have enough supplies to fill the container. I filled mine up about half way with new and leftover floral foam.

I thrifted this galvanized oval bucket. Isn’t it cute?

Who would have known it would someday hold a floral cake pop centerpiece?

Step 2 – Add Spanish moss over the foam for aesthetics.

Although we love what floral foam can do, we don’t want to see it.

You can use brown Spanish moss, but for this project I liked this green dried moss here.

I used two different kinds of Spanish moss because I was running low on one of them. Like most of my crafts, it turns out I really liked what necessity made happen.

Step 3 – Place the faux greenery and real greenery into the floral foam.

These faux stems here are so versatile. I’ve used them in many projects.

To give some diversity of texture I snipped a few sprigs from my asparagus fern.

You could use any house plant or even a pretty weed in this centerpiece.

Get wild and free with it, you’ll probably smile at the outcome.

Step 4 – Spear one donut hole on a wooden skewer then place throughout the centerpiece.

Of all the steps this has to be the most fun.

Putting donut holes on a stick can get addictive.

I like to space the actual cake pops out evenly so when the flowers are added they will surround each individual cake pop.

Step 5 – Clip your multi stemmed flower sprig.

Hopefully you’ve bought a faux flower sprig with multiple stems.

If so, you can turn one flower stem into 4 or 5 individual flowers.

This saves money and extends your budget, which is usually the goal for me.

Step 6 – Place the individual flower stems into the centerpiece

Now the part where I really loose myself in the easy, creative flow.

Arranging flowers!

Nothing hard about this part. In fact, it should be relaxing.

Fill in the gaps with faux flowers and watch as your cake pop centerpiece becomes prettier and prettier.

I’m always drawn to quick projects that make a big splash.

These easy cake pops are a no brainer when you want something cute to serve at a party,

or as a surprise like I did.

My 24 year old loved this sweet idea as did my 8 and 11 year olds as well.

Making the ones you love happy!

That’s a good reason to try this easy cake pop centerpiece yourself.
