Looking for an easy Easter gift you can DIY on the cheap? I have the perfect craft for you and it’s super cute.
The other day I was strolling through Dollar Tree looking for inexpensive inspiration. I definitely wasn’t the only one.
After seeing all of the adorable Easter decor and craft supplies that lined the shelves, I came up with a craft project that you can put together in 10 minutes!
Buy enough supplies to make several of these potpourris and you’ll have lots of thoughtful gifts to give your family, friends, and neighbors.
Dollar Store Easter Potpourii Gift Crafts
All the supplies I bought at the craft store, except the essential oil which I bought here.
If you want several scents to choose from and mix together, this here is a high quality aromatherapy kit. It has really amazing essential oils.
Supplies
- potpourii
- glass jar with lid
- ribbon
- wooden Easter bunnies
- green moss
- glue
- essentail oil
You can put this Dollar Store Easter potpourii gift craft together in a 4 easy steps.
1.Glue moss to the top of the jar lid.
I used hot glue, but any glue will work.
2. Glue bunny to the moss and jar lid.
Make a line of glue in the center of the moss and nestle the bunny on top of it. Hold until glue is dry.
3. Tie ribbon around the mouth of the jar.
4. Fill jar with potpourii.
5. Add a few drop of essential oil onto the potpourii.
It works best to fill the jar half way and add the essential oil, then fill to the top of the jar and add a few more drops.
That’s it, you’re done!
Isn’t this perfect in it’s simplicity? Plus it’s cute, but not too cute.
I love neutrals so I choose a potpourii with browns, greens, and creams then added a ribbon to match. I’ve seen a few different colors of potpourii at the Dollar Tree so you can make this craft project brightly colored as well.
We put these little jars is the kitchen and bathroom, but the girl’s love them and I’m sure they’ll have a stay in their bedrooms as well.
One of the best things about these Easter potpourri jars, besides the low price, are their lids.
You can take the lid off if you want a little scent and put them back on if you don’t. Adding more essential oil is also a great way to freshen them up. Don’t be afraid to mix it up and add several scents.
I put orange scent in ours but have added ginger and lemon essential oils to one of the jars as well. This article give several suggestions as to what to mix with orange.
I hope you’re inspired by this Dollar Store Easter potpourii gift craft. It made me really happy to get a project that turned out so well, so easily.
Put a smile on your face and try it. Let me know if you do, I’d live to hear how it went!
