Neutrals & White Cottage Christmas Decor

by

It blows my mind that nine days ago I was enjoying 68-degree weather and golfing with the kids. Now we have 4 inches of snow on the ground and it’s 35 degrees outside. The good news is, it’s given me even more of a reason to start Christmas decorating.

Today I’m really happy to be joining some great bloggers for a Celebrate Christmas Home Tours Blog Hop.

It’s being graciously hosted by Leen of Sand Dollar Lane.  If you are coming over from Chalking Up Success, welcome! Doesn’t Jayne have great style?!  All the bloggers have done such a beautiful job be sure to visit as many as you can.

Now let’s get started with the Christmas decor! I’m excited to share with you a little bit of how I’m decorating our bedroom this Holiday season.

Over the last few months I’ve been collecting vintage baskets from thrift stores. They hold the creamy faux poinsettias and I love the warmth they bring to our bedroom.

Our bedroom is filled with neutrals and I wanted the Christmas decor to blend in with that color story. White poinsettias were my first thought, and they’ve worked well. I thrifted them all in one day! Yes, I went to four different thrift stores to find them all, but still, great deal!

The white Christmas trees have been collected over the years. They are some of my favorite Christmas decor and will probably find their way into both of youngest daughter’s bedrooms. They love these little white trees. They go with any color palette, and are sooo cute!

Designer Tip: Look for scalloped ends whenever shopping for bedding. They look posh and expensive in a cottage kind of way.
