The 5 Best Non Toxic Cleaning Supplies for the Minimalist Home

by

After many years of experimentation, I’ve figured out the 5 best non toxic cleaning supplies for the minimalist home.

Truly they’re all you need to keep your home clean and maintain a health surrounding.

With five kids I’ve tried to think like a minimalist even though I may not be one, but I definitely am a minimalist when it comes to cleaning supplies.

And when I say cleaning I’m including laundry, which I do a lot of.

Thank God I actually like doing laundry.

I keep it uncomplicated.

When Jeremy and I bought our first home and I became pregnant reading became my hobby.

I should say researching became my hobby. I stumble on a newsletter, like an actual comes in the mail newsletter. Old school and amazing.

I wish I could remember the name of it, because I’m curious as to what she’s doing now.

The author opened my eyes to clean living. I was educated about how toxins are ruining our planet and our bodies.

I was determined to keep toxins out of my home and our babies life.

It started with getting rid of the toxic cleaning solutions, laundry detergents and fabric softeners in our home.

I also stopped wearing perfume on the spot.

Through the years I’ve experimented with many non toxic cleaning systems and solutions. Many are green washed products that still hold toxins and impurities.

What I’ve found is less equals more.

There’s no need to complicate how to clean without toxins.

Minimalist nontoxic cleaning solutions keep our home and clothing clean and smelling good without harmful chemicals.

It’s simple.

The 5 Best Non Toxic Cleaning Supplies for the Minimalist Home

  1. Vinegar
  2. Baking Soda
  3. Olive Oil
  4. Unscented Liquid Castile Soap
  5. Scented Liquid Castile Soap

I stand behind these products and there ability to clean with efficiency one hundred percent.

Natural products sometimes get a bad rap in the cleaning industry, but they shouldn’t.

Our need to have our home clean and germ free should not come at the cost of our health.

Chemical cleaners have been linked to cancers and illness. That is something no one wants in their homes.

Hi Maria – I make my own cleaning supplies too! I love knowing that I’m using the least toxic things I can in our home. I have used olive oil on my cast iron but not for the other things you mentioned. I am also going to try Castile soap for laundry. That’s the one area that I haven’t found something less toxic that cleans well. Thanks for all the tips!
