Vinegar
Vinegar is a must in your cleaning cabinet. Did you know vinegar has antibacterial and antifungal powers?
I combine vinegar and water in a 1:1 solution to clean all kinds of things. It’s the only solution on use on mirrors and windows.
Mix it with water and scented castile soap as an all purpose cleaning spray. Add it to your laundry on extra smelly loads.

I dilute my castile soap with water when using it for sprays. A little goes a very long way.

Save money by using unscented liquid castile soap. I use 1/4 cup of this here with every load of laundry.
If it’s extra smelly or dirty I’ll add a sprinkle of baking soda and a dash of vinegar.

Hi Maria – I make my own cleaning supplies too! I love knowing that I’m using the least toxic things I can in our home. I have used olive oil on my cast iron but not for the other things you mentioned. I am also going to try Castile soap for laundry. That’s the one area that I haven’t found something less toxic that cleans well. Thanks for all the tips!
