Life As Art

As soon as the trees start to turn here in Michigan you can find me outside snipping a few branches off and bringing them inside.

Do you do this?

I think it will forever make me happy.

When little things can fill you with joy you should probably make a habit of doing them.

Life As Art

I like traditions, but I really value traditions that are easy and don’t cost a thing.

Why? Because they’re a sure thing when times get you feeling unsure of things.

All five of our kids love nature walks. They’ve done them since they fit into a sling strapped across my chest. We call them nature hikes now, but same thing.

It has become a tradition we go for a nature walk/hike every season. Our favorite ones are in the Fall. On every hike they collect beautiful fallen leaves and we marvel at them every single year. God is the greatest artist.

No matter our financial situation, they always get to take home a handful of multi shaped leaves in the most exquisite oranges, golds, browns and reds.

Truly a celebration of the tradition nature calls Fall.

Design inspiration I saw this week…

This Aussy apartment is a dream. Such a great use of textures.

We’re on the hunt for lamps in Mary’s bedroom, and these ceramic lamps are blowing my mind.

I’ve never seen a nursery like this one. Just so much fun!
