Have you ever been to the Found Cottage Mercantile Market? It’s an amazing gathering of vintage collectors and vendors. Each year in Holland, Michigan vintage loving home enthusiasts come together and celebrate all things vintage. Lucky for me I so happen to live very close by.
The market is held Labor Day weekend on Friday and Saturday. This year I was able to attend the second day and meet up with a couple of fellow bloggers. Lynn from Living Large in a Small House and Kim from Cottage in the Mitten were great company. It was so good to meet them in person. Anyone who comes for a visit will discover all kinds of beautiful vintage home goods from around the country.
We also go to meet and chat with the wonderful Liz of Liz Marie Blog. Such a warm and genuine person. She and her team from her shop, The Found Cottage, host this event each year. It’s a great kick off to one of the most gorgeous times of year in Michigan, Fall.
The vendors brought their best! It’s amazing how many incredible treasures and artisanal pieces were collected and impeccably displayed. Inspiration for months from all that I saw.
Be warned ya’ll, I took a lot of photos.
Grab your cozy drink of choice (dependent on the weather by you)… scroll through and enjoy!
If you’re local you must come next year and check out the Found Cottage Mercantile Market. If it’s a bit of a drive and you’re wondering if it’s worth it, it is! Come and be inspired, shop rare finds, and meet kindred hearts.
I was able to find several heirloom pumpkins for our Fall front porch. Leep Petals from Hudsonville are a small family owned flower farm and they have gorgeous pumpkins as well. Yes, pumpkins can be gorgeous!
Have you ever been to a vintage market? I hope you’ll come visit the Found Cottage Mercantile.

Maria!! It looks like there were so many great items!! Now… what were the prices like? Haha I want to go next year!!!
Yes, there were so very many amazing items. As far as price, it really varied. If I had planned ahead I would have bought more, but it was a last minute thing to attend. If you come next year let me know! I had no idea this was going on until last year and I live so close by!
Wow so many great pieces. I loved seeing all these treasures. I know quite a few ladies who visit this great shop often. So great that you got to meet Liz and hangout with some blogging friends too.
It really was a great time. I think everyone was so glad to be around kindred vintage hearts, quite lovely.
It was such a fun day and so great meeting you!
It was so good meeting you Kim! You’re just as positive and cheerful in person as online!:)
I bet that was so much fun! I haven’t been to something like that in so long, what a wonderful way to spend the day and it makes my heart happy to see so many lovely repurposed and upcycled things!
Oh my word, Maria, how fabulous is this outdoor market? I could have brought home something from every booth/vendor you featured. Can’t wait to see the pumpkins you picked up and how your front porch comes together too. Hugs, CoCo PS: Loved your outfit!
