Easy Summer Porch Decor

by

Are you ready for the warmth and sunshine of Summer? Get a head start on your Summer porch with a few easy decor ideas.

The thought of sitting on our porch watching the kids play and the trees blow in the warm breeze makes me happy. Soon, very soon! In the meantime here’s what I did to add some Summer vibes to our front porch. It was quick to come together, and the results so good!

Easy and Welcoming Summer Porch Decor

Our front porch isn’t that big, but we do love to sit out there on the front steps and sometimes even pull a chair or two out there. Life with five kids is busy so I needed a quick way to welcome Summer to our house. Thankfully, with just a few easy choices our blah front porch was transformed and now radiates Summer.

Almost every Summer I buy a couple of ferns to flank our front door. I love the classic feel they always bring. The rug I found is a light color and reversable with a taupe stripe on the opposite side. The material is made from plastic so it doesn’t stain at all and repels water.

Had to add some fun color by using this cute floral print door matt. A great price as well. It’s very popular so if you can’t find it online check instore.

I just love using a wreath on the door anytime of year. Cheerful optimism should be the name of this lemon wreath, it just makes me happy. Not only can your front door set the tone for your guests, it sets the tone for you before you even walk into your home.

The two black urns are really the stars of this Summer porch show. They are so light it was no problem popping them in my card and bringing them home. They bring a sophistication to the whole front porch, and work so well with our gray front door.

Nothing has to be perfect, don’t get caught up in the myth of perfection. Simply gather things around you that make you happy and start getting ready for Summer!

I love the simplicity of your porch. I so miss having a front porch but at least do have a balcony with some outdoor space. I just made a lemon wreath for my front door. Oh and that rug – so pretty.
